GPcardio is proud to announce a new strategic agreement with the NCD Academy, a global education platform developed by the American College of Cardiology (ACC). This collaboration marks an important milestone in our mission to empower primary care professionals across Europe in preventing and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD) and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs)
This collaboration marks an important milestone in our mission to empower primary care professionals across Europe in preventing and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD) and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs
Through this partnership, GPcardio will facilitate access to high-quality, free online educational resources from the NCD Academy for general practitioners, practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals across its network. The NCD Academy, initiated by ACC in collaboration with the World Heart Federation and supported by Viatris, offers evidence-based, clinically relevant training modules on cardiovascular health, diabetes, cancer prevention, and chronic respiratory diseases. “Primary care is on the front line of NCD prevention. This collaboration with the ACC allows us to provide accessible, trusted content that strengthens clinical capacity in practices across Europe,” said Prof Richard Hobbs, chairman of the EPCCS, and co-founder of GPcardio. The agreement aligns with GPcardio’s broader mission to enhance education and clinical excellence in cardiovascular care in primary settings, supporting its affiliated organizations including the European Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (EPCCS) and International Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (IPCCS). By integrating the NCD Academy’s materials into GPcardio’s educational offerings, general practice professionals will gain additional tools to support early detection, patient education, and integrated care for at-risk populations. More information about the NCD Academy and how to register will be available shortly on the GPcardio platform. For updates, follow www.gpcardio.org and our social media channels.
