The new ESC heart failure guideline, the first full revision since 2021, is presented on Friday 28 August at ESC Congress 2026, followed by an Ask the Task Force session. Expect consolidation of four-pillar HFrEF therapy and its rapid initiation, a firmer evidence base for HFpEF treatment, and close alignment with the simultaneously released guideline on cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease.
