Nakazawa G, et al.; PREMIUM investigators - New England Journal of Medicine

Open-label non-inferiority trial in 69 Japanese centres: 2,280 STEMI patients randomised to prasugrel monotherapy (20 mg loading, 3.75 mg daily, Japanese dosing) started before PCI, or 12 months of DAPT. Death, MI or stroke at 12 months 11.0 versus 8.5 percent (HR 1.34, 95% CI 1.02 to 1.75; non-inferiority not met); BARC 3 or 5 bleeding 5.6 versus 8.4 percent (HR 0.66).
